Stay and Fly Docs is a company based in São Paulo, Brazil, dedicated to the development and production of innovative projects in the documentary field. With a keen focus on both the Brazilian and international markets, we specialize in a variety of services that include structuring film selection processes for funding, organizing pitching sessions for film investors, and developing educational and promotional activities such as workshops, masterclasses, creative labs, mentorship programs, and film screenings. Our mission is to nurture talent and facilitate connections within the film community, fostering the growth of the audiovisual industry.
STAY
'Histórias que Ficam' (Stories that Remain) is a program created and established by Stay and Fly Docs in 2011 under the umbrella of the Brazilian cultural foundation, Fundação CSN. This initiative aims to support the national documentary production, provide mentorship and training for filmmakers, and facilitate the dissemination of completed films. Throughout its existence, the program has proactively adapted to evolving market trends, constantly striving to offer an optimal partnership opportunity for Brazilian filmmakers.
Sponsored by the company CSN and leveraging the tax incentives provided by the Lei Rouanet, the program has successfully financed 8 documentaries in full, with an additional 4 currently in production slated for completion by 2025. Additionally, 'Histórias que Ficam' has sponsored impact campaigns in collaboration with DocSP and Good Pitch - Doc Society. The program has also hosted a range of workshops, panels, and masterclasses focused on documentary production, alongside providing creative residencies and tailored mentorship to over 40 filmmakers guiding them from project development to production, editing and distribution. Screenings organized by the program have showcased supported films to audiences exceeding 10,000 viewers across various cities in Brazil.
Additionally, the films supported by the program have been selected and awarded at several important documentary festivals, including Dok Leipzig, IDFA, It's All True Documentary Film Festival and the Doc Lisboa International Film Festival. They have also been licensed to channels such as Canal Brasil and Canal Curta!
FLY
Latam Content Market, a new international marketplace for documentaries and factual programming in Latin America, is a project conceived and developed by Grifa Filmes in partnership with Stay and Fly Docs. The inaugural edition will take place in Rio de Janeiro in 2025. Latam Content Market’s goal is to connect content creators, producers, and distributors from the region with international partners to foster collaborations and co-productions.
